Department of Finance and Administration

The proposed functions of the Department of Natural resources Management and Conservation will be:


- Controlling and supervising Ministry’s expenditure;
- Development, documentation and implementation of quality management systems and best practices;
- Developing and implementing a strong Internal Control System to ensure proper utilization of Ministry’s resources;
- Ensuring implementation of financial policies and procedures;
- Supporting the Director General in financial planning and budgeting;
- Directly managing, supervising and monitoring of the finance and administration department staff;
- Management of cash flow and expenditure forecast as per budget provisions;
- Providing technical support to the Ministry’s management on financial matters

Finance and Administration

The department is divided into five sections which include the Finance Management, Procurement Management, Human Resource Management and Administration, Information Communication Technology and Archives and Records Management Sections.
