Department of Climate Change and Resilience 

The proposed functions of the Department of Climate Change and Resilience will be:

- Establish an appropriate procedure for the coordination of all relevant institutions and stakeholders involved in climate change resilience building.
- Coordinate monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the National Climate Change Policy and the implementation of adaptation, mitigation and outreach programs across Government. 
- Coordinate the preparation and validation of climate change related national regulatory frameworks. 
- Act as the focal point for market mechanisms.
- Work with MDAs to monitor implementation of climate change projects that are aimed at protecting biodiversity and other ecosystems.

The department is divided into Six sections.
