Department of Policy Planning, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation 

The proposed functions of the Department of Policy Planning and Monitoring and Evaluation will be:

- Preparing policy planning, monitoring and evaluation policies and procedures manual

- Preparing 5 years strategic plan for MoERCC in line with the Puntland National Development Plan 

- Coordinating formulation and preparation of the MoERCC medium term strategic plan, annual action plans and budgets

- Coordinating research and impact studies on MoERCC policies and provide a basis for making informed decisions on the future direction of the MoERCC

- Conducting annual evaluation on MoERCC programs and projects in collaboration with other stakeholders and reviewing the monitoring system based on the recommendations from the reports 

- Preparing annual statistical reports 

- Reviewing existing policies and ensuring their compliance with current laws and regulations

- Preparing annual policy, planning, monitoring and evaluation reports

- Holding stakeholders’ forums to disseminate policy, planning, monitoring and evaluation reports and revising the policies and strategies based on stakeholders’ feedback.
